udev-discover 0.2 released!

I’m very happy to announce the first release of udev-discover.

Subsystem chooser

The development was stopped a few months ago, but with this holidays coding attack in a rush, I’m pretty sure is good enough for a first release.

Nowadays udev-discover can browse the full sysfs tree, or some linux subsystems only, providing a nice subsystem chooser for it.

So whether you want to check device info/properties, tracks device events or explore and filter the sysfs tree, udev-discover will be a really helpful tool for you.

    hi,
    just installed it on Oneiric i386 (natty ppa), installation went smootly but:
    - dont get entry menu (logged as gnome-classic)
    - running from a terminal, i get:
    oem@oem-desktop:~$ udev-discover
    /usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/gi/types.py:44: Warning: g_object_set_qdata: assertion `G_IS_OBJECT (object)’ failed
    return info.invoke(*args)
    Then udev-discover open its dialog box, but everything is empty: nothing is discovered; tweaking the settings dont help.

    Hi Dino,

    On udev-discover 0.2 release no DesktopEntry file was added. This has been fixed on master branch, so next 0.2.1 minor release of udev-discover will provide a entry menu. Regarding the warning, is pretty inoffensive.

    As for the “empty” problem … maybe you’ll find this question little silly … did you realized if the vertical pannel separating devices tree window and info/properties window is full-left-slided? It seems to be some problems with the vertical panel position at first run.

    Thank you for using udev-discover and remember your questions and bugs could be better tracked at the bug track site at launchpad:

    Cheers!
